Wildfire is a character from the Golden Age of Comic Books. Her real identity is Carol Vance Martin. Wildfire was created by Robert Turner and Jim Mooney and first appeared in Smash Comics #25, published by Quality Comics in 1941.
In the comics, Carol Vance Martin, also known as Wildfire, is a superheroine with the power to control fire. She was born during a meteor shower and was adopted by a wealthy couple. In her adult life, she became a school teacher and, when danger threatened, she would transform into Wildfire to fight against evil.
Quality Comics was a major comic book publisher from the late 1930s through the mid-1950s, known for a variety of popular characters and series. Wildfire was one of their superhero characters, appearing in the Smash Comics series.
Wildfire appeared regularly in Smash Comics until the series ended with issue #85 in 1949.
Carol Vance Martin had always been a survivor. Born with a fiery spirit, she faced numerous challenges throughout her life.
