Marksman is a Golden Age comic book character who first appeared in Amazing-Man Comics #23, published in August 1941 by Centaur Publications.
The Marksman is a skilled archer and crime-fighter who uses his exceptional marksmanship and a variety of trick arrows to battle criminals and protect the innocent. The character’s real name is Bruce Vale, a wealthy man who becomes the Marksman after witnessing the kidnapping of his fiancée. Vale dons a colorful costume and adopts the persona of the Marksman to rescue her and bring the kidnappers to justice.
Amazing-Man Comics was an anthology series that featured a variety of adventure, mystery, and superhero stories. The Marksman was one of the many characters that appeared in the series, sharing the pages with other heroes like Amazing-Man, Iron Skull, and Mighty Man.

He came to realize that his gift was indeed of divine origin, and he was meant to follow the path laid out by the Way of the Mark.
Marksman decided to leave his life as an assassin behind and start anew, embracing his role as a prophet of the Way of the Mark. He used his skills for a noble cause, becoming a vigilante who fought against injustice and protected the innocent. His reputation as “”The Ghost”” spread far and wide, as he struck without warning and vanished without a trace.
As Marksman continued to follow the Way of the Mark, he found solace in the knowledge that his deadly gift was guided by a higher power. While the weight of his past actions still haunted him, he took comfort in knowing that he was now using his divine abilities for good, and that, in the end, was all that truly mattered.
