Without a second thought, he charged back into the building, rescuing his trapped coworkers and extinguishing the blaze. News of his heroic act quickly spread, and he became an overnight sensation, hailed as a true hero and dubbed “”Man O’Metal.””

Pat struggled with the constant media scrutiny and public interest, fearing that the life he had carefully built would crumble around him.
